These terms govern your use of tennisarcade.xyz. By using the site you accept them. They are written to be readable rather than exhaustive, and they are specific to this site rather than copied from a template.
Last updated: 15 September 2026.
The games and articles are free to use and read. You may not republish our content or games elsewhere. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to lose access to. The site is provided as-is, and nothing here is professional advice of any kind.
1. Acceptance and changes
Using this site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
We may update these terms. The date above will change when we do, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. We will not apply a change retroactively to something you did before it was published.
2. What you may do
You may:
- Play every game on this site, free of charge, without an account and as often as you like.
- Read, print and share links to anything published here.
- Quote short passages with attribution and a link back to the page quoted.
- Link to any page on this site from anywhere, including in a commercial context, without asking.
We will never require payment or registration to play a game that is currently free to play.
3. What you may not do
You may not:
- Republish our content. Copying articles, in whole or in substantial part, onto another site is not permitted, with or without attribution. This includes machine translation and paraphrasing at scale.
- Rehost our games. The games are original works. Copying them, hosting them on another domain, or embedding them in an
iframeon another site is not permitted. - Scrape the site at volume. Automated access that places an unreasonable load on the server, or is used to build a derivative product, is not permitted. Ordinary search engine crawling within robots.txt is welcome.
- Remove attribution or notices. Including copyright notices in source files.
- Misrepresent the site. Including passing our content off as your own, or implying an endorsement, affiliation or partnership that does not exist.
- Attempt to compromise the site. Including probing for vulnerabilities, interfering with its operation, or attempting to access anything not intentionally made public.
If you want to use something here in a way these terms do not allow, ask through the contact page. Requests for educational and non-commercial use are usually granted.
4. Intellectual property
All content on this site — article text, game source code, game designs, graphics, the site's own design and code, and the Tennis Arcade Games name and logo — is original work and is owned by the site operator unless stated otherwise on the page in question.
Nothing here is scraped, licensed from a stock library, or reproduced from another publisher. That is a deliberate operating rule and not only a legal position: it is why our catalogue has ten games rather than four hundred.
"Tennis" is a sport and not anyone's trademark. Where a third-party product, company or trademark is mentioned in an article — a console, a historical game title, a manufacturer — it is referred to for identification and commentary only. Those marks belong to their respective owners, and no affiliation or endorsement is claimed or implied.
5. The games
The games run entirely in your browser. Nothing is installed, no data is transmitted to us, and your scores are stored on your own device.
Four games are playable at the time of writing. Six have pages that describe an intended design and state clearly that the game is not built. We make no commitment to build them, and no date is promised.
Scores are stored in your browser's local storage and are your responsibility. We cannot recover a lost score, because we never had a copy. Clearing your browsing data will remove your scores permanently.
Games may be changed, retuned or withdrawn without notice. Where a change alters behaviour described in an article, we update the article in the same change.
6. Anything you send us
There is no way to publish content on this site — no comments, no user profiles, no uploads.
If you send us a message, a correction, a bug report or a suggestion, you grant us permission to act on it and to refer to it where relevant, for example in a correction note. We will not publish your name or contact details without asking you first.
Please do not send confidential information or anything you are not free to share. Ideas sent to us unsolicited are not treated as confidential, and we cannot undertake not to work on something we were already considering.
7. Advertising
No advertising is currently running on this site. The pages reserve layout space for it.
If advertising is introduced, advertisements will be visually distinct from content, will be labelled, will never be placed over a game or made to resemble navigation, and will have no influence over what is published. Advertisers are third parties and we are not responsible for the content of their advertisements or for anything on the sites they lead to.
We do not currently run affiliate links or sponsored content. If either changes, it will be disclosed on the page where it applies.
8. External links
Articles link to external sites where a source or further reading is useful. We check links when we publish and during scheduled reviews, but the web moves and we cannot guarantee that a link still points where it did.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices of any external site. A link is not an endorsement.
9. No warranty
The site and its games are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from defects, or that content is complete or current.
Nothing on this site is professional advice. In particular, nothing here is tennis coaching, sports medicine, or any form of health, fitness or performance advice. Our disclaimer covers this in more detail.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including lost scores, lost time, or loss arising from reliance on anything published here.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
11. Availability
We make no commitment that the site will remain available. It may be taken down, moved, or discontinued at any time and without notice. Because there are no accounts and no purchases, you would lose nothing but access, and your locally stored scores would remain in your browser.
12. Termination
We may restrict access to anyone who breaches these terms, particularly for automated abuse or attempts to compromise the site. There is no account to close; you may stop using the site at any time.
13. Governing law
Site owner: specify the governing law and jurisdiction applicable to your place of establishment before launch. This clause is a placeholder and must be completed with legal advice appropriate to where you operate.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms, permission requests and copyright matters can be sent through the contact page.
